PRIVACY NOTICE
KCSN is designed to collect only the information needed to operate the public survivor network and protect it from obvious abuse.
WHAT KCSN RECEIVES
- Project Zomboid survivor name and generated survivor ID.
- Survival time, zombie kills, health, infection/alive/deceased status, ruleset information, and report timestamps.
- Workshop mod version and companion version.
- A randomly generated companion installation credential used to authenticate reports.
WHAT THE COMPANION READS
The companion watches the KCSN report file written by the mod at Zomboid\Lua\knox_leaderboard_report.json. It is not designed to read Steam credentials, passwords, browser data, documents, or unrelated personal files.
PUBLIC INFORMATION
Survivor names, gameplay statistics, ruleset, signal status, and permanent deceased records are intentionally public on KCSN. Do not use a survivor name you do not want displayed publicly.
SECURITY & RETENTION
Reports are authenticated with installation-specific signing credentials. Deceased records, security flags, and report history may be retained to preserve the archive and protect leaderboard integrity.
